The Old Man and the Youth

 It was a hard earned day for the hero.He had sacrificed too much to save the youngster.With this theme the film concluded and the youth ran to catch a running bus.He was about to fall when a hand rescued him and pulled him inside.It was an old man standing by the side of the front seat.He was moved by others so that he could see the face of the old man who just saved him from fall.Then there was a commotion in the front seat and the latter two stood up giving way for the old man and the youth to sit.Then seeing the wrinkled face of the old man he remembered his father he quietly thanked him.

        The old man was carrying a yellow bag and was totally disturbed by the rush inside the bus.He had to travel another half an hour to reach his bus stop.The youth said that he had come from a movie that he gone along with his friends and he need to travel an hour to reach his stop.The old man did not say anything to the youth for he was thinking when his daughter will accept the proposal.The groom was a clerk in a bank and to be promoted as Asst. Manager in a year.His daughter was a science graduate and was working as tech.asst in a nearby college.She was nearing her thirties. Soon a drop of tear came to the eyes of the old man.Suddenly the conductor gave a whistle and the old man got up to leave.The youth was asked to sit near the window seat by a lady. Suddenly he noticed a purse under his seat which ofcourse belonged to the old man.The old man had tied the purse in his dhoti and that it had fallen down.When he tried to call the old man the bus started again.The youth got down in his next stop to find a visiting card by name "Mythili" and he soon picked up an auto and located the address.He rang the door bell.

     Then a thirty year old girl opened the door and the youth have the purse to her.But she called her father and the old man then invited the youth to have a seat in the house.The old man called his wife to get some tea for the youth.He noticed that the house had just been visited by some guests when the lady bought the tea.The old man said his daughter had just now accepted the proposal. Soon the youth also realised why the old man had a drop of tear in the bus.The old man thanked the youth and the youth soon walked to the bus stop and reached his home peacefully.
