THE MIRTH TREE

The mirth tree
In mime of laughter
Praises branches
For living so long.

Happy birds
Singing in serenity
Clutches the twigs
To make it's home.

A fruit so ripe
For squirrel so while
Bite its tail
To foresee more.

A trembling lad
With madness he loves
Seeks the tree
To save him from foes.

Thunderous roars - beats
The clouds apart
Only the branches to hold
The tree from lightening stroke....

I think you have studied English language and literature. How is your daughter so fluent?
RajaRamalingam sir
Thank you Ramalingam. I do not know but her flow in her english poems is quite natural as a stream I did not encourage her in ger school and college period. Now only I began to encourage her after my finding my poetry again. Anyway as you know it should come from the individuals concerned.
Oh! One should poem standing beneath a big tree to enjoy it in full.while reading this , I can identify myself with the birds, the squirrel and the trembling lad.And finally a tinge of life's philosophy.I think this final touch is your master stroke.keep it safe!
This is not the way of thanking in one line. You should write in more words to explain in depth about the rising of the poem from your angle besides acknowledging and grasping the higher literary experiences from them for your growth.
Thank you Manoaran for your comments. I think you more literate and knowledgeble in English than me which was proved by your references to Measure for Measure and April is the cruellest month etc.,
I will work on it sir. Thank you for the comments. These two poems I got inspired after reading some great works only sir.
Poems do come only like that and but happen to be the original work of the creators concerned with their own lines ; their own language and style. Maintain it with your existing individuality and talent.
Anandhi! Inspiration from great works is a good beginning. In course of time a distinct individual style will evolve in your mind even without your consent. I sincerely feel that process is already on. My best wishes!
Thank you again Manoharan for your identifying the same
and revealing the same to her for ger future progress and growth.
